International Power and Mitsui announce that they have not submitted a firm bid for Drax Power Station, UK
(London – 7 November 2005) Following International Power’s announcement on 19th October, International Power and Mitsui & Co., Limited have worked with Drax Group Limited (“Drax”) and its advisers with a view to putting forward a firm offer within Drax’s current process. The Board of International Power announces that it has not been able to formulate a firm offer which it believes would satisfy the expectations of the Drax Board. Accordingly, no offer has been submitted.
