International Power Appoints Bruce Levy as President of American National Power
(London – 1 December 2004) International Power is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Bruce Levy as President of American National Power with effect from 1 December 2004.
The majority of Mr Levy’s career has been with GPU Inc, an international electric utility (now part of First Energy) where he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this he also held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of GPU International, a wholly owned subsidiary of GPU Inc., which had interests in independent power plants with a total capacity of 10,000MW.
Mr Philip Cox, CEO of International Power said: “Following the successful financial restructuring of the US business, I am delighted that we have been able to appoint such an experienced and knowledgeable individual to now lead our US business and build upon the commercial opportunities in our markets.”
Ian Nutt, the current President of American National Power, is leaving the Group following the successful completion of his American assignment. “We thank Ian for his valuable contributions to the business, and we wish him every success for the future,” Mr Cox added.
