International Power receives 'Planning and Performance Management' Award from CFO Europe

(London - 18 April 2002) International Power is proud to announce that CFO Europe (published by The Economist Group) has awarded chief financial officer, Philip Cox a CFO Europe Best Practices Award for 'Planning and performance management'. This was for outstanding performance by the company's finance team during 2001.

The award was announced at the CFO Europe Best Practices Awards gala dinner held in London.

In a recent press release CFO Europe said "Following a rigorous application process, our distinguished seven-member panel of judges — comprising CFOs, CEOs, academics, previous winners and chaired by CFO Europe's, editor-in-chief, Janet Kersnar — assessed the extent to which the CFO and finance team played a key role in each category and the extent to which these activities were central to corporate strategy. The judges rewarded the CFOs who have had the greatest impact and delivered the most value to their organisation's performance."
