Corporate Responsibility
Conduct by People Acting on International Power’s Behalf
In the introduction to these Business Policies it was stated that the International Power (IPR) person responsible should endeavour to ensure that equivalent standards to those set out in these Business Policies are followed in companies in which IPR has an interest but does not have control, and also in those businesses with whom IPR has contractual relationships. It was also stated that it is the policy of the Board of IPR that those employed by or acting for IPR should follow all the requirements of these Business Policies. For instance, contractors working on behalf of IPR must ensure they act in accordance with these Business Policies with respect to confidentiality, conflicts of interest and the making and receiving of gifts. It is not accepted that employees of IPR circumvent their obligations under these Business Policies by deputing unacceptable practices to intermediaries acting directly or indirectly on IPR’s behalf.
